The Purple Elephant Project

because children should be heard

We urgently need your help

We’re thrilled that the continuation of the Adoption Support and Special Guardian Fund (ASGF) has now been confirmed but we’re not out of the woods yet.

Whilst this is good news, and will be a relief to all the families we are supporting, we are also aware that there will now be a gap in funding as the huge backlog of ASGF applications are processed.

Please continue to donate to cover this gap and ensure therapy does not need to stop for the children we are helping at this time.

Welcome to The Purple Elephant Project

We are a children’s mental health charity, supporting over 100 children and their families every week with therapeutic services such as Play and Art Therapy across the London Boroughs of Richmond, Hounslow and beyond.

We’re here for children and their families facing various challenges, such as trauma, mild anxiety, lack of confidence or sadness. Through specialist therapeutic services tailored to each child’s unique needs, we work to transform lives; enabling children to reach their full potential and a brighter future.

If you care as much as we do about changing a child’s life, why not support us. You can donate, fundraise or volunteer.

Child Protection and Safeguarding

At The Purple Elephant Project, we fully recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children. We believe that safeguarding and child protection is everyone’s responsibility and will refer and monitor any cases of suspected abuse or harm. Full details of our safeguarding procedures can be found in our Safeguarding Policy.

Our designated safeguarding lead (DSL) is
