Specialities and areas of interest:
I am a Child-Centred Non-Directive Trauma Informed Therapist, a practitioner in Parent-Child Attachment Play (PCAP) and DDP (Level 1) , and a Registered Sand Story Therapist. I can work with children aged 4-12 years. I am particularly interested in working holistically with important people and systems in the child’s life. Before training as a play therapist I had 18 years of experience supporting children 1:1 or in small groups in a mainstream school setting who faced challenges such as trauma, loss, bereavement, anxiety, anger, social difficulties or low self esteem.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy walking generally and in particular with my rescue ex-racing greyhound Beau, time spent with family and friends, reading – mostly non-fiction.
