Meet Emily, one of our incredible Charity Champions
Emily first discovered PEP through her son’s school, Collis Primary School, at a time when her family desperately needed support.
When traditional talking therapy wasn’t the right fit for her son, she faced long waiting lists, high costs and limited options. Through PEP, her son was able to access 12 sessions of art and play therapy, providing him with a safe space to express himself and begin to rebuild his confidence.
The impact was transformational, not only for her son but for the whole family.
“Watching my son’s confidence gradually return and seeing him begin to open up again was incredible. Honestly, the impact is almost too great to put into words.”
Wanting to give back, Emily combined her passion as an artist with her commitment to supporting children and families. Through her exhibitions, fundraising and specially created elephant artwork, she has helped raise both awareness and vital funds for PEP. Her son has even joined in, helping to raise money so that other children can access the same support he received.
“When a charity like PEP throws you a lifeline, and you come out the other side with renewed strength and hope, it is impossible not to want to give back.”
Today, Emily continues to champion our work through fundraising, advocacy and raising awareness. She has even featured in our charity video, helping to share the impact of PEP with a wider audience and encouraging more families to seek support when they need it.
We’re incredibly proud to have Emily as part of the Herd and grateful for the creativity, generosity and passion she brings to our community.
