Specialities and areas of interest:

Leila’s approach is warm, compassionate and child-centred, underpinned by a belief that trusting relationships are at the heart of meaningful therapeutic change. She draws upon a range of approaches, including play therapy, psychodynamic thinking and elements of CBT, tailoring these to each child’s needs. This flexibility supports children to express themselves, make sense of their experiences and build emotional resilience. Her background in senior leadership within schools enables her to work collaboratively with parents, carers and school staff, recognising that children thrive when the adults around them feel supported too. She has reinforced her belief in the importance of working with parents/carers to create emotionally safe spaces where children can flourish.
