Our wonderful walkers completed the 4-mile Purple Parade on Sunday 23rd June 2024. We saw walkers with purple clothes, capes, hair and even purple fur (on the dogs)!
Everyone brought brilliant energy levels and they took on the course along the River Crane to Shots Tower with enthusiasm and determination, cheered on by our wonderful marshals!
At the end of the walk, our walkers enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing break in the calm of the Therapy Garden. Some of the children also took the opportunity to decorate their own clay elephants to take home whilst others played in the garden. We all enjoyed some lovely bakes from our very own Anita, and the chance to chat to old friends and new.
The walk has already raised in excess of £2,100 and there’s still time to donate here.
Every penny raised from this event is going directly to our Bursary Fund – enabling us to offer free or subsidised therapy support to children who may otherwise not be able to access the help they need.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in the walk, thank you!
We must also say a huge thank you to the staff, volunteers and trustees who supported the event, and give special thanks to Five Fish, Whitton for donating the printing for the event, and to Caroline Fearn for donating the clay elephants for the children to decorate.
