The Purple Elephant Project

A Mother and Daughter's Creative Fundraising Events!

Isabelle attends weekly play therapy sessions at The Purple Elephant Project. Her mum, Georgina, put forward The Purple Elephant Project to Isabelle’s school as a potential charity partner. While waiting to hear back, they decided to take action themselves and entered our Share the Love campaign in February, raising an amazing £1,226 in total!

Isabelle and Georgina held a small sale, selling second-hand toys, books, and Isabelle’s beautiful paintings to neighbours. Isabelle also painted pictures for family members, all in exchange for donations via their JustGiving page.  To double their impact, Georgina asked her employer to match the funds they raised. On top of that, many generous donors added Gift Aid to their donations, generating an additional £130!

We’ve included photos of some of Isabelle’s stunning floral pieces. “She has loved it so much, we have now entered a painting into The Royal Academy Young Artists Summer Show!” Georgina told us. We think you’ll agree she has tremendous talent!

A huge thank you to Isabelle and Georgina for their generosity.

If Isabelle and Georgina have inspired you, join one of our other campaigns or set up your own, or come and join the fund at the Purple Parade on 29 June!
