The Purple Elephant Project

Vineyard School’s Fundraising Success!

The school council at Vineyard School raised an incredible £530 for The Purple Elephant Project with their Cake, Biscuit and Fruit Sale in July 2024! As part of the fun, students dressed as elephants and created a beautiful elephant mural for their library.

The council, made up of six students per class, meets weekly to share ideas and vote on fundraising initiatives. They chose The Purple Elephant Project because they wanted to support a local charity helping children like themselves. To bring their fundraiser to life, they presented their plan in assembly and displayed posters around the school with our help.

After the event, we visited to thank them and awarded a Purple Elephant Certificate of Achievement. The students were eager to learn how our charity supports children and families with their mental health. They were especially curious about our name and history, a story you can read on our website.

Could your school take on a challenge like this? Whether it’s a bake sale, or a creative project, we can provide resources and support to make it a success. Get in touch to get started!
